CTET 2021 notification, online application form to be published today


The Central Council of Secondary Education (CBSE) is ready to publish the CTET 2021 notification today. Along with the detailed notification, the Council will also activate the link of the CTET 2021 application form. Central Teacher Eligibility Center (CTET) can apply via ctet.nic.in.

Last Saturday, information was released that the CBSE will publish the CTET notification on September 20, 2021. Major news portals have also reported that the CTET 2021 request form will be released on the same day as the notification. The application window will remain open for one month until October 19, 2021. The 15th edition of the CTET exam will run from December 16, 2021 to January 13, 2021.

Considering the resources, eligible applicants can follow the official website for the latest updates on the CTET 2021 exam. They must have passed the 12th class / graduation with a degree in education (B.Ed / D .Ed (Special Education) /B.El .Ed / D.El.Ed) to apply.

Once the link to the application form is available, they can register for the exam accordingly. Upon successful registration, applicants can complete the CTET application form. Thereafter, they must upload the document as prescribed and pay the required application fee. Note that general category and OBC applicants must pay Rs. 1000 / – while SC / ST / DA must pay Rs. 500 / -. Those applying for both papers (paper I and paper II) are required to pay Rs. 1200 / – (Rs 600 / – for SC / ST / DA) as an application fee. Payment of fees can be made via e-challan / credit card / debit card / net banking.

Additionally, CBSE has not issued any official statement on the 2021 CTET exam date and related events. However, an important notice was posted on July 30, 2021, discussing the tentative date for the review and some changes to the review. As per the notice, the review is tentatively scheduled for December 2021 / January 2022.

The first change was that this year’s CTET question document will be prepared based on the existing curriculum, however, the questions will be less factual knowledge and more conceptual understanding. The second major change is the examination mode. Previously, the CTET exam took the form of a paper exam. From this year, the CTET exam will be organized in the form of a computer test, that is to say in online mode. This change will motivate teachers to become more computer literate.
