ARE YOU still WAITING for this confirmation e-mail from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding your appointment for a passport application?
Your confirmation email may either have landed in your spam emails or be stuck in a technical issue that the DFA Consular Affairs Office is working on.
The DFA-OCA has stated that the Passport online appointment system (passport.gov.ph) underwent system maintenance from 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening until 6:00 a.m. “to resolve issues with unsent confirmation emails”.
Applicants who have completed and paid for their passport appointments have been advised to wait 48-72 hours to receive their application package and to check their spam folders if the application does not appear in the inbox. . If no email has been received, applicants are advised to call 8234-3488, the DFA-OCA said.
Applicants who have not received their application package and whose passport appointments are scheduled this week have been advised to bring the original receipt issued by the payment merchant and present it for verification at the consular office where the appointment has been made.
The DFA said it appreciates the public’s continued cooperation and understanding “as we work to upgrade our systems.”
