BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) – Erie County has launched an online form to file complaints related to compliance with the mask’s mandate.
The county implemented a mask warrant for all indoor public places on November 23 in response to an increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the county. The mask requirement applies to all indoor public places with one exception. According to the county, “Sites that have strict vaccine requirements for entry, such as Highmark Stadium and KeyBank Center, would not have to require masks for people vaccinated under these orders.” Some companies in Erie County have started requiring proof of vaccination due to the mask warrant not applying to sites with strict vaccine requirements.
A spokesperson for the Erie County Department of Health said as of December 1, 239 complaints about the masks’ fulfillment of the mandate had been received via the online form, email and phone.
You can find the online form for submitting complaints related to compliance with the mask mandate here. You can find other complaint forms and resources on the ECDOH website here.
“The current outreach of our public health workers, through letters / emails and field visits, is educational – explaining the command, answering questions from owners and operators of the facilities,” said a door. – speech of ECDOH.
