WASHINGTON — More Internal Revenue Service forms can now be edited electronically, the federal agency said in a news release.
Online options include individuals filing corrections to Form 1040-NR, the Non-Resident U.S. Alien Income Tax Return, and Forms 1040-SS, the U.S. Self-Employment Income Tax Return (including the US Tax Credit). additional child tax for bona fide residents of Puerto Rico) and Forms 1040-PR, Self-Employment Tax Return-Puerto Rico.

A new electronic checkbox has been added for Forms 1040/1040-SR, 1040-NR, and 1040-SS/1040-PR to indicate that a replacement return is filed electronically. A superseded return is a return that is filed after the return originally filed, but submitted before the due date, including extensions.
