Guwahati: In order to help citizens to make hassle-free appointments with government officials, Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration today launched an online portal SWAGATAMS, a visitor management system to facilitate public official interface.
Taking into account how citizens often have to wait for appointments with officials, the SWAGATAM portal would allow citizens to seamlessly schedule appointments with officials at mutually convenient time slots.
Launching the portal today, Kamrup Metropolitan District Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha said such a decision would likely save citizens and officials time and allow for greater ease and efficiency in delivering of services to citizens via the official interpersonal interface of citizens.
The Swagatam portal can be accessed at kamrupmetro.swagatam.gov.in and citizens can schedule appointments with the DC and other senior district administration officials.
Citizens receive alerts on confirmed slots or any changes through this portal. DC, Metropolitan Kamrup.
