Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has issued the notification for 322 Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) and Yantrik for its batch 02/2022. Check important dates, vacancies details, qualifications and other details.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Notification 2022: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has activated the online application link for the recruitment of male candidates for the position of Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) and Yantrik. Interested Candidates Eligible for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022 till 14 January 2022 at joinindiancoastguard.gov.in or cgept.cdac.in/icgreg/candidate/login.

Candidates will be called for the Stage 1 exam in mid-March or late March 2022. Those who qualify in Stage 1 will be called for Stage 2 and Stages 3 and 4.

More than three hundred vacancies are available in different branches for batch 02/2022. Candidate can only apply for one position viz. either Navik (DB) or Navik (GD) or Yantrik (Mechanical) or Yantrik (Electrical) or Yantrik (Electronic).

Salary ICG Navik and Salary ICG Yantrik:

  • Navik (General Service) – Base Salary Rs. 21700/- (Pay Grade-3) plus High Cost Allowance and other allowances depending on the nature of duty / duty station as per regulations in force.
  • Navik (Domestic Command) – Base pay scale for Navik (DB) is 21700/- (pay grade-3) plus high cost allowance and other allowances depending on the nature of duties/location of allocation in accordance with the regulations in force.
  • Yantrik – Base Salary Rs. 29200/- (Compensation Grade-5). In addition, candidates will be paid Yantrik pay @ Rs. 6200/- plus dearness allowance and other allowances depending on the nature of duty/duty station as per applicable regulations.

Eligibility Criteria for ICG Navik/Yantrik Positions

Education Qualification:

  • Navik (General Service) – Passed 12th with Mathematics and Physics from a school board recognized by the Council of Councils for School Education (COBSE).
  • Navik (National Branch) – Passed 10th class from a school board recognized by the Council of Councils for School Education (COBSE).
  • Yantrik. Successful 10th class from a board of education recognized by the Council of Councils for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering and Telecommunications (Radio/Power) approved by the All India Council of Technical Education ( AICTE) OR Successful 10th and 12th class from a school board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunications (Radio/Power) Engineering lasting 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)

Age limit:

  • For Navik (GD) and Yantrik – Born between August 1, 2000 and July 31, 2004 (both dates inclusive).
  • For Navik (DB) – Born between October 1, 2000 and September 30, 2004 (both dates inclusive).

Selection Criteria for ICG Navik/Yantrik Positions

The selection will be made on the basis of:

Stage- I –Written exam

2nd step – Stage 2 consists of physical fitness test (pass/fail), document verification (pass/fail), reassessment of inconsistent performers (pass/fail), initial medical examination. (Pass/Fail)

Step 3 – Stage III involves document verification (pass/provisional fail), final medical examinations at INS Chilka, submission of original document, police verification and other related forms.

Step 4 – Applicants must submit all original documents and verification of all original documents by Boards/Universities/State Government will be done by Indian Coast Guard. The applicant will be terminated from the service if the documents are flagged as inauthentic by the respective state boards/universities/governments.
