Online application begins for several vacancies, check details

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification of the 2022 Combined Upper Secondary Level (10+2) (CHSL) Examination for the recruitment for the positions of Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretarial Assistant (JSA), postal assistant / sorting assistant and data entry operator (DEO).

Interested candidates can apply for the recruitment exam online by logging on to the official website of the Commission – The submission of online applications began on February 1, 2022. The deadline for receipt of applications is March 7, 2022.

Essential study qualifications (as of 07-03-2022):

For LDC/JSA, PA/SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): Candidates must have passed the 12th standard exam or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
For Data Entry Operator (DEO Grade ‘A’) in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): Standard 12th pass in science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized board or equivalent is a compulsory educational qualification.

Wage scale:

Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretarial Assistant (JSA): Pay Tier 2 (Rs.19,900-63,200).
Postal Assistant (PA) / Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Grade-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).
Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Tier-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Tier-5 (Rs.29,200-92,300).
Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’: Pay Grade 4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).

Vacancies will be determined in due course. The updated vacancy will be uploaded to the Commission’s website.

Age limit (As of 01-01-2022):

The age limit for the positions is 18 to 27 years old on 01-01-2022, i.e. candidates born no later than 01-02-1995 and no later than 01-01- 2004 are eligible to apply. A relaxation of the upper age limit will be granted for the different reserved categories.

Registration fees:

The application fee to be paid is Rs 100. Female applicants and applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for booking are exempt from payment of fees.

Examination scheme:

The exam will consist of a computer-based exam (Level I), a descriptive paper (Level II) and a proficiency test/typing test (Level III).
