Indian Coast Guard (ICG) issued notification for 322 Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) and Yantrik for their 02/2022 batch. Check important dates, job vacancy details, qualification and other details.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Notification 2022: Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has activated the online application link for recruiting male applicants for Navik (General Duty), Navik (Domestic Branch) and Yantrik positions. Interested candidates who are eligible for Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2022 until January 14, 2022 at joinindiancoastguard.gov.in or cgept.cdac.in/icgreg/candidate/login.

Applicants will be called for the Stage 1 exam in mid-March or at the end of March 2022. Those who qualify for Stage 1 will be called for Stage 2 and stages 3 and 4.

More than three hundred vacancies are available under different branches for lot 02/2022. The candidate can only apply for one position viz. either Navik (DB) or Navik (GD) or Yantrik (Mechanical) or Yantrik (Electric) or Yantrik (Electronic).

ICG Navik salary and ICG Yantrik salary:

  • Navik (General Duty) – Base salary of Rs. 21,700 / – (pay level 3) plus cost allowance and other allowances depending on the nature of the work / place of employment in accordance with the regulations in force.
  • Navik (Dominion Command) – The basic salary scale for Navik (DB) is 21,700 / – (pay level 3) plus cost allowance and other allowances depending on the nature of the job / location assignment in accordance with the regulations in force.
  • Yantrik – Base salary Rs. 29200 / – (pay level-5). In addition, applicants will be paid Yantrik pay @ Rs. 6200 / – plus cost allowance and other allowances depending on the nature of the post / duty station in accordance with applicable regulations.

Eligibility criteria for ICG Navik / Yantrik publications

Qualification for education:

  • Navik (General Duty) – Passed 12th with math and physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • Navik (Dominion Command) – Successful 10th class of an education council recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • Yantrik. Successful 10th class of a school board recognized by the Council of Boards of Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic and Telecommunications (Radio / Electric) Engineering approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE ) OR 10th and 12th class passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) ”AND“ Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic / Telecommunications (Radio / Electric) Engineering with a duration of 02 or 03 years approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)

Age limit:

  • For Navik (GD) and Yantrik – Born between August 01, 2000 and July 31, 2004 (both dates are included).
  • For Navik (DB) – Born between October 01, 2000 and September 30, 2004 (both dates are included).

Selection criteria for ICG Navik / Yantrik messages

The selection will be made on the basis of:

Stage I –Written exam

2nd step – Stage 2 consists of a physical aptitude test (pass / fail), document verification (pass / fail), reassessment of inconsistent performance (pass / fail), initial medical examination. (Pass / Fail)

Step 3 – Stage III involves document verification (provisional pass / fail), final medical examinations at INS Chilka, submission of original document, police check and other related forms.

Step 4 – Applicants must submit all original documents and verification of all original documents by Boards / Universities / State Government will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard. The candidate will be terminated if the documents are flagged as inauthentic by the respective boards / universities / state governments.
