After receiving representations from many applicants regarding the need to make corrections in their applications after final submissions, the Staff Selection Committee (SSC) has made a major change to its policy and extended this facility to applicants.
Until now, no changes were allowed once the candidate finally submitted their application form for one of the recruitment exams they held. However, after the deadline for receipt of online applications, the SSC will now allow five days for applicants to correct or change the online application parameters, with applicants permitted to resubmit applications after making the corrections and changes. required within the single deadline. online registration/application data as needed, SSC officials said.
“An applicant will be allowed to correct and resubmit their amended or corrected application twice during the ‘Application Form Correction Window’ i.e. if they have also made an error in the updated application, he will be allowed to resubmit another modification and corrected application after making the required corrections/modifications,” SSC Central Region Regional Director Rahul Sachan said.
However, after that, no further corrections in the application form will be allowed under any circumstances, he added. The official further stated that only applicants will be allowed to make corrections whose completed online applications along with payment of the required fees have been received by the commission within the specified time. The last modified application will be treated as the valid application and the previous application(s) submitted by these applicants will be ignored.
The commission will levy a uniform correction fee of ₹200 for correcting and resubmitting an amended/corrected application for the first time and ₹500 to make a correction and resubmit an amended/corrected application for the second time. The correction fee will be applicable to all applicants regardless of gender or category, he said.
Correction fees can be paid only in online mode via BHIM UPI, Net Banking or using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. Correction fees once paid will not be refunded or adjusted against any other examination or selection.
Before submitting the corrected application, applicants should verify that they have completed the correct information in each field of the form. After the ‘Application Form Correction Window’ has expired, no changes, corrections or modifications will be permitted under any circumstances. Requests received in this regard in any form such as mail, fax, e-mail, by hand, etc. will not be taken into account by the commission and will be summarily rejected, the officials being clearly informed.
“This policy is introduced from the Combined Higher Level Examination (CGLE) – 2021 application which is currently enforced with the last application date January 23, 2022. The marking window for this exam will be open from January 28 to Feb. 1 (11:30 p.m.),” Sachan said.
